Where would you suggest getting ones for cheap? Do you think the charger is junk too? If so, what should I get for a replacement? I'm a poor college student, so just keep that in mind please. Also, I'm pretty sure these batteries are the original ones, since the sticker on the side of the battery housing says September 2008. So what do you all think? I'm sure I need to buy new batteries. I'm obviously not going to ride it until this is all resolved, especially since it looked like the tops of the batteries might actually pop off. I unzip the pouch its in and lo and behold, both batteries are bulging like crazy. I pull out the battery and it feels kind of odd to me. Today I decide that something is definitely not right and I open the deck to check the connections and whatnot. When I plug it in now it only does the green/blinking red for maybe 5 minutes before going solid red. Every day since then it has been making it less and less. The scooter worked great for about a week, then a few days ago I notice that its barely taking me a mile on a pretty flat surface (it did 5 miles no problem the week before). Included in your parts box: Toolkit (4+5mm combo hex wrench, 13+15mm combo open-end wrench) Touch-up paint Reflectors (if not already installed) Required Tools (not included): Scissors or wire cutters 10mm open-end wrench (may be needed) Scooter won’t turn on (no lights. After every ride I would plug it in to charge, and it would have the green with blinking red like it did before for a while (hour or so) and then go to solid red again. I take it out for a ride and it works wonderfully, its much faster, while accelerating it only goes down to yellow and once I reach cruising speed it stays on green. So I leave it plugged in for the weekend without touching it and when I come back it has a solid red light instead of the green with blinking red. For the first several rides (over the course of a few days) I would hop on the scooter and the battery-draw indicator would go straight from green to red and stay there even once I reached cruising speed, which didn't last long b/c after about 100 yds the scooter would start slowing down noticeably. I assume that means charging b/c there were no instructions that came with it. So I plug that charger in and it has a solid green light and a blinking red light. It didn't come with a charger, so I picked up this charger: So anyways, I got this scooter on Ebay about a month ago. Works great.Hey all, I've looked around here trying to figure out what to do, but I know so little about this stuff that I just need to ask my own question. I replaced mine with some intermediate level adapting the harness to my model scooter and this includes some soldering and wire splicing changing power connector heads off old harness to new harness to fit bike. what sucks so far is that the micro controller is encased in resin so it is virtually non repairable.įound these wiring harness for sale online scooter stores and on ebay. not sure why this is engineered this way? still working the problem. 24V 2A Scooter Charger for Jazzy Power Chair, Pride Mobility Shopride, Go-Go Elite Traveller, Schwinn S300 S350 S400 S500 GT Currie iZip, eZip Mountain Trailz Indication Lights to show you if the battery is fully charged or not red light on when charging, green light on when charge full. somehow it is wired with 2 - 12 volt batteries in series to give 24 volts and them the processor cuts back down to 12 volts to run the motor. i can bypass the micro-controller and connect one 12 volt battery directly to motor and runs full speed. have a bad feeling the micro controller died, that is the little plastic box with metal fins on it under the seat post behind the batteries ******* to the frame. going through the wiring harness to look for shorts.
